REBECCA GALLANT, Festival Crew Manager

Rebecca Gallant is another "NXNE volunteer turned staff" success story. Back in NXNE's formative years, her adoration for the local music scene prompted her to lend her services as a volunteer cashier. She immediately fell in love with the festival and has never looked back. Working her way up through the NXNE ranks, she became a Stage Manager in 2001 and was eventually brought on to NXNE staff as Festival Crew Manager in 2005.
Her optimism and positive attitude has proven time and time again to be a calming force during NXNE's hectic time. She tackles each new task with an enthusiastic "bring it on!" and is always willing to break out into an impromptu tap dance at the drop of a hat. In her spare time, she can be found producing drag and burlesque shows, her most recent being on one of Pride Toronto's outdoor stages. In 2007, a new "end of festival" tradition was born; sticking Rebecca to different surfaces with duct tape.
